OPEN DATA FOR OPEN JUSTICE: ANALYSIS OF THE JUDICIARIES OF BRAZIL, COSTA RICA, MEXICO AND PERU

Sandra Elena

This research, carried out by the Center for the Implementation of Public Policies for Equity and Growth (CIPPEC), focuses on the opening of data on the judiciary and its emerging impacts. It is assumed that openness and judicial transparency improve justice delivery and that this has a positive result in people’s lives. In addition, it may have an impact on judicial accountability, that is, on the responsibility and capacity of judiciaries to be accountable for their actions and the other branches of government.
