Vector transmission diseases (such as Dengue and Zika) are one of the major public health challenges in the Americas, with significant material and human costs. ILDA’s work has focused on exploring what kind of open data infrastructure – particularly public data standards – are needed to enable new forms of monitoring and use of this data by key stakeholders in this ecosystem, such as Ministries of Health, planners and communities at risk.
