OPEN DATA IN EDUCATION, FIRST APPROACH AND LESSONS

Yacine Khelladi

The research aims to evaluate some of the early outcomes of existing initiatives in the field of open data and education, as well as to draw lessons and recommendations for discussion with peers and to feed other initiatives in the area. The question is “What have these projects achieved with this application based on open data on education?”

A second objective is to verify if the proposed methodology, based on outcome mapping, is a useful tool to evaluate what happens after the release of the data and the development of applications based on them. This is because there is an intrinsic difficulty when it comes to measuring what happens to something that is made available to the public without registering who uses it and why.
