ACCESS TO BUDGETARY DATA (IN OPEN FORMAT) IN LATIN AMERICA: OVERVIEW OF INTERMEDIARY ACTIVITIES IN THIS ECOSYSTEM

This work’s main objective was to identify uses of governmental information related to public budgets, made available in open format, from the perspective of the intermediaries. It also aims to start a review of elements of the ecosystem around supply, demand and consumption of open budget data in the cities of São Paulo (Brazil), Montevideo (Uruguay), Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Mexico City (Mexico).

The research seeks to map unmet demands and relationships between intermediaries and consumers, allowing greater and better learning about their results or impacts of the activities they perform. Then it will be possible to measure if the performance of the intermediaries is able to overcome problems or deficiencies related to the quantity and quality of the data made available
